S430 wheel sollution

About 5 years ago a bit after getting the car I got a set of 18in 10 spoke wheels off an E55 for the car, and they fit well. two fronts and three rears
Those are the worst wheels I've ever imagined, I dont even abuse the car, just drive it a lot on normal roads, two of the wheels have flat spots where they have bent, one doesnt seal right, one front was completely destroyed, and I've had to weld over 10 cracks in them.
I've also got sidewall crush damage to at least 6 tires in the past years from road debris or literally minor bumps.
It's mostly the 9in wide rears that are giving the issues, the fronts have been fine except for one pothole that was a bit large.
Unfortunately, the price on used E55 fronts is pretty high and there is still the issue of the tires getting damaged

How are the 18x8.5 fronts on the amg w220s? Do they crack? They are the same 10 spoke design and I can get them fairly reasonable, just run four of those for the same look.
Has anyone used 17x8.5 C32 rear wheels? They are a little costly but a 17 may hold up better and the offset seems fine. They are the same design just in a 17in wheel.
I cant really run 16s because no one makes a z rated or higher 16in tire and I've unlocked the limiter in my car and occasionally do go 150+ in it.

I have the w220 amg rims they don’t crack or bend , and they are affordable compared to other amg wheels

I would definitely use 4 fronts if you want to rotate your tires , 245/45/18

if you get a staggered set with wider rear wheels get 275/40/18 rear tires

on the W220 stick to 17 inch wheels!

The 245/40R/18 AMG rims on my E350 are suffering every year from potholes and need repair (they bend easily).

W220 S600 on 17 inch never a problem

FYI

The w220 amg 18 inch monoblock style rims have fat spokes and don’t bend

the thin twin spoke versions on s65 might be weaker

Which 17s do you have? Aftermarket?
I didn't know that was possible with the amg brakes, interesting.
That's kind of the way I'm leaning towards.

But part of me wants to get 2011ish vw beatle wheels, which are STEEL and come out as a 18x7.5 on 5x112 with a close enough offset to work I think. Should do a 245/40r18 and I can collect a mountain of them and straighten the dents out with a hammer.
It just sucks they are not 8in wide or 8.5 because 245 is pretty hot for a 7.5
