2001 S600 P0341 camshaft bank 1 error

I'm looking for some help with my 2001 S600 issue. The cars been sitting for 5 years. I went ahead and replaced the fuel filter and pump and it now starts up but it only stays running for a few seconds and throws a P0341 camshaft position sensor error on bank 1. I swapped out both camshaft position sensors with factory sensors but she still throws a 341 error on bank 1. I also tested the sensors that came out and both seemed operational during my bench tests, so I'm skeptical this is a sensor issue. I'm struggling with where to go next but thought about swapping the crank sensor unless you guys have other ideas for me. I was hoping to avoid pulling the heads for now but that may be next. Any suggestions? The car does have the dreaded oil cooler leak so I'll probably pull the heads on down the road and replace the oil cooler if I decide to salvage the car. The car is in perfect shape with only 69,000 miles. Thanks in advance for your help.

1) check with SDS instead of changing parts. Most MB specific faults need SDS to reset.
2) if needed, pull just the rocker covers to inspect cam
3) for the oil cooler search my postings - big job
4) fill in your profile and follow the forum rules.
Good luck!

Did you ever fix this? If so what was it? I have same car same milage and the same issue. Replaced both sensors, still throws the code. Was wondering if it was the crank sensor as well...

Thank you

Usually it's not the m cam pos sensors, but the single CRANK pos sensor ( a PIA job)

Where is the crank sensor located? I had to remove the intake manifold to get to the passenger side cam sensor already so if it's not worse than that I'll be alright. Thank you for responding I've been at a loss. Do you know of any way to test the crank sensor? What specs and what pins it should be at or something like that?

Thank you

Elliott

This is the na v12, there's zero content for this motor on YouTube. Only a couple things, nothing about crank sensor. Unless it's in the same place as the v8s?

Alright, I swapped the crank sensor as well, and it's still throwing the same code. Anything else it could be you think?
