I have a ticking noise coming from the front right side of the engine. Anyone having this problem?

 

Yeah, my mom has an S430 and we heard a ticking noice for about a week ffrom the front end. It was on and off, not continuos. Then one day it just stopped, and we haven't heard it since.

 

Thanks. I took it in and they did a engine cleaning and the problem is still there.

 

I had a ticking/clicking noise (2000 S) that evenutally turned out to be ball joint assembly failure. First on the right side, then on the left. The car had about 50,000 miles and had already had the Airmatic suspension system problems. The noise was somewhat intermittant and I had to drive the dealer shop foreman around to verify that he heard the noise.
