Asking for buying advice for a W220.
Hello, I am thinking of purchasing a 2005 S430 4Matic. It’s $3,500 with 110k miles. The seller says “the car has a broken lock and needs a Central door locking vacuum pump.” The seller also says the cars air suspension drops overnight. Is it worth it? 2 owners and 2 minor accidents.

Is it me or are the bumpers a different color, they look matt, along with the fuel door unless its just the photos? I would go take a look at.

That car is a junker . All the wood trim has been painted or covered in black , the body looks terrible and it has problems with airmatic suspension and the pneumatic soft close .
$3000-4000 is a price for a car without those problems . This is a $1000-1500 car

The most important question: Are you able and willing to do your own repairs and maintenance? If not, walk away.

I would run far from this - or at least pay for an inspection to tell you the same. The car will could cost triple to be made mechanically whole even at a friendly indy shop (esp if you doubt the no leaks claim), or likely cost at least the same amount in parts and your own time to DIY. You should be able to find better kept examples for slightly more (~5-9k) or less sketchy ones around the same.
