Passenger headlight
Hi guys - have a 2000 s430 with xenon headlights
the passenger headlight doesn’t always turn on. Sometimes i have to turn the car on and off till kicks on - auto setting. If I turn the dial to turn it on - it won’t. When my friend hooked it up to a snap on diagnostic reader - he could force it to turn on and off on his tool….im guessing it’s the Sam? That is what he said it probably is but wanted to confirm with those who also have this car and prob know more since yall deal with it more.
I have already change the bulb and the ballast…do I need to check a fuse?
it has been more consistent since the ballast was change but still not always kicking on.
doing research it seem my next thing should be changing the SAM - which I should be looking for the front left one seeing it’s the front passenger headlight that doesn’t work.
Will all sams be the same or do I need to find one that came from a car that also had xenon? Also once I change it - do I have to do anything else to make it work?
