Keyless go retrofit

I am set on retrofitting keyless go into my pre facelift w220. During my research I found the yellow door panel airbag connectors coming from the door locks from kg models varies from non kg models. Does this come with this kg module and harness? I’d be thankful if anyone with experience in the topic could give insight.

Mercedes
They did offer keyless go in prefacelift cars . I would get the parts from one of those as the later cars used totally different electronic architecture (d2b/most)

Research the keys themselves as you can’t just use your existing keys.

Early KLG sometimes used a credit card type key and later they added the circuitry into the key itself. These KLG keys have 3 coils inside instead of 1.

So before you go buying up parts, see if you can get keys.

The yellow door airbag connectors are part of the KG door lock assembly. The KG retrofit kit typically includes the necessary harness and module, but you may need to source the KG-specific door locks separately. Double-check compatibility with your W220’s pre-facelift wiring.
