srs light on
The little srs light on dash top left is illuminated red….
any concerns driving with it on?!
That light has nothing to do with rear seats? Just front?
is that controlled by a module under seat? Or and one of the three sams?
anything I can try before taking it to shop?

i can only share what i know
of course not, its just disabled airbags. all of the car. yes of course it has a module but normal scanners cant address that.
now that i said that: someone mentioned before that the passenger seat belt is usually culprit. so get a new one and try just in case. the receptacle/part mounted to the seat/floor, not the actual belt part.

shop is simply not economical , since they will want to replace the entire restraint system, but its worth asking for free at a mercedes dealer, they wont charge for advise

I accidentally deleted the vin on the eis in my s600. My srs light has been on for over 4 years and it does not affect any functions in the car. I'll probably remove the bulb for the srs light sometime soon. I wouldn't worry about the srs light if I were you
