Is it possible to just plug the newest 05' Motorola picture phone into my 01' S500 I currently have the Motorola V60 set up? (Obviously I would switch the service over to new phone 1st) Have any of you guys tried or done this yet? It looks like a much better phone, the picture screen is easily double the size of the V60 and it's in COLOR! Thanks in advance.......

urge you to write a letter to MBUSA and complain that they are not supporting upgraded handsets for older systems. There is no reason why you should not be able to buy a newer Motorola phone and cradle that will work with your system. The life cycle of a cellphone is far shorter than that of a Mercedes. MBUSA should have thought of this when they designed the system. Send the letter to:

If enough people complain they will address the issue. At the moment they are being very aragant about the situation. However, customer satisfaction is a top priority and if they see enough letters they will do something about it.

hey ricker i think its possible but you would have to get a new cradle system as well that would work with the new phone and that would seriously cost more i beleive over here in Canada its more than $4000

I replaced the old Timeport cradle and hand set when I bought the car to the newer V60 handset and cradle ($3200) There is no way I'm paying that again just to get a better phone! Maybe I'll try the Milkbox or whatever it's called system. Jeeezzz Fu*king Mercedes there really wrong doing this to their customers!!

yea ricker your right just spending $3200 on max a $500 phone is insane MB is a rip off most of the times. yea maybe mikbox as a solution to this insanely expensive problem.
