a few Germans, a few Americans
I almost missed this actual reply to my topic. I will be happy if its just coil packs because even MB techs cant take 2 months to replace those but I think it may be something worse. Either way, they have to cover all the parts and labor swo not too big of a deal.

the Lexotas may be bland and tasteless, but at least they run properly.
S-classes are nice when something is not going wrong. you have to change your S-class every 2 years or else, you know what your in for. Parts and labour are up the ***, especially on the v12.
the new acura 3.5RL (new awd one) is an awesome car. Between an E and S class, I would rather have the RL, especially if I am going to drive it for afew years.

No offense to anyone but I made this topic to see if anyone had any ideas about what the problem may be with my car. For those that offered, thanks. For those that want to tell me how great some other car is and I should trade in my 100k car at the Toyota or Honda dealership, no thanks. Out of 3 Mercedes, this is the first one Ive had trouble with. I will never buy another damn Lexus and surely not a Honda so thanks, but thats not what this topic was about. This IS a Mercedes forum correct?

2001 S600 Black/Black
MoneyPit - What WAS the actual Damage??
I am having the same issue with my 2001 600, though I haven't noticed the severe misfires yet, only subtle, with the check engine light. While getting a state inspection yesterday (actually prior to the check engine light) the guy said cylinder 11 was misfiring. I am just praying it is the sparkplug.
What happened in your situation?
Thanks

I have an 02 600 and it got the shakes real bad, what i did would probably make others scream at me but i simply added Octane Booster and that stopped it. i figured with all of the Ethanol they add to the gas, the engine wasn't burning properly so i filled the tank and added the booster. when i burned that tank of gas, i added injector cleaner with a full tank and ne check engine light, no shakes, and it actually takes off a touch quicker. i have 89,000 miles and it still can manage to **** off a few cars at the light AND on the expressway.
