Cool Window Tinting

Just bought a new S500. Silver with Black interior. I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida where the sun is intense. I am interested in having my windows tinted. What grade/level should I get? Are there different tints? Should the rear window be done?
Help! Any suggestions as to who in my area does this work?

I had some titanium window tint film installed on my SLK, it used to get so hot in my car but after the tint, it was like heaven. You've got to tint all windows, and if you can find a tint with titanium go for it. Only one problem, i got static shocked by my windows almost all the time.

First thing I would do is check to see what the legal limits on tints in your area is... for the DC area is was 50 in the front and 35's int he rear doors and and window....

I had 20% all around on my old car and it was pretty dark but was really good on dark days.... in the 2 yrs i had the car, i got pulled over 1 time.... with the MB.. i decided to get 35% in the front and 20 in the rear doors and glass... it's still pretty nice but I did get pulled over recently for that as well....

so if you don't want the hassle of gettin gpulled over.. i would stick to the legal limit... and on a silver car, i would go wiht the black tints... my 2 cents

There's an amazing new film out that is clear but cuts out 98% more heating rays than even the darkest old tints. It's wierd but sunlight looks normal but you don't get any glare eye fatigue....it's like clear polarized sunglasses. Supposedly, this is the new film that all the Military planes have just begun to install.

Can't remember the name of the new product but the testing display was at Atlanta Classic Cars (my Merc dealership)...you could call to ask for the name of the product. 404-296-1313
