Can u Push S classes?
Hi guys well i own a 02 S 430 and use this as my daily car, i have a e46m3 as my weekend car which sometimes tempts me to push the S a bit.....just wondering if it is ok for the car to be driven at high rpms at times and pushed kinda hard....thanks!
i know this car is meant to be driven luxuriously (well im guessing 430 and 500 anyways, not the amg ), just wanna make sure i dont screw up the engine or anything! thanks!

Its german... made for speed! So I doubt that by having fun with you, you will ruin it. Just take care of it. Change the oil, watch the fuilds, wash it, etc and the car will take care of you.

in my 2k s 500 last friday night I was racing a wrx for about 2 miles going well over 130, i dont like the way the car handles at that point, but I do stupid stuff like that all the time, car doesnt have any problems, even after street racing, still runs strong.

I have a 95 s500 with somewhat 125,000 miles. I push it and I took it to track these cars take it like champs. 130...... peace of cake, 140 ....... no problem, 150....... That feels nice , 160 ..... now we talking! Just take care of it, change your oil on TIME!!!! If you car needs something you must change it. The w140 engine may be a bit stronger then the w220 but a mercedes is a mercedes and they are strong.

Well i just did a brief road trip and sat on the highway for three hours on 130mph. Had no problems. In fact seemed better than my previous care a 2002 CL55. I drove from NYC to Ithaca New York through NJ and Pensylvania with average traffic so there was quite a bit of braking followed by foot to the floor accelleration.
Only problem was the minivans sitting in the left lane on 75mph. Had to do a good share of undertaking and high beam flashing.
Was also surprised I didnt encounter any problems with law enforcement. Was I lucky or is that to be expected in the tri-state area? Just moved to the US so not sure what the rules are. I was told that if I had been stopped doing 130 in a 60 that I could have been in serious trouble, ie goal time?

ah, the joys of pushing the S-class. personally i much prefer pushing my E to my S, because the S tends to start squeeling when i take corners too quickly, and the brakes don't seem as good (no SBC, i guess) -- oh, and it costs much more :P but yes they can definitely be pushed. on a straight road, very few people would see anything more than your S's *** [ha, ha]

There's also no rule that says somebody has to move out of your way just because you flashed your high-beams. If they are already over the limit, and passing other cars, some people will get pissed off at you and stay in the lane just to spite you.
If by "goal time" you mean "jail time", then yes. You would be at the mercy of the police officer who could arrest you for "driving to endanger".
