ok, guys i need help. i'm a little confused, i'm trying to install an aftermarket HID light kit on my 02 s5, i did a search on this topic and need some more clearification. 1 question that i have,

do i need to remove the 35W relay from the aftermarket kit or can i just install it and have the dealer reset the malfuntion code

dont remove any relay from the kit. You need the dealer to clear the code. Halogen is 55W and HID will be about 35W so it throws a code thinking the Halogen bulb isn't working.
