Thinking about an S Class

Hi all. Visiting from the W163 Board. There is a 00 S500 with Sport/AMG package for sale in my neighborhood, and I'm drooling over it. I'm currently driving a BMW 540/6, and am interested in any experiences comparing the two. Obviously the MB is bigger and lacks a manual. I'm no street racer, don't track my car, but enjoy some spirited driving on occasion. Is the MB "fun" enough for you all?

Remember that the W220 was introduced to the United States in 2000; therefore, you should consider the purchase of a comprehensive extended warranty. One common failure is the otherwise unparalleled AIRMATIC suspension.

Yes, see my post below. Otherwise, it is a wonderfull car to drive. Not "spirited" but very luxurious.

you can do all that spirited and fun driving that you do occasionally in your 540, you can have fun for sure.

I would say go for, but the breakdust on the front tires is annoying, there are some good suggestions for how to deal wiht it in one of these threads.
