Yesterday while I was driving all of sudden blue smoke starts coming out of the air vents next to the windshield, expecting to see flames next, I pulled off the road asap and popped the hood, no flames but did it smelled hot. Called the dealer (45 miles away) and had the car flatbed hauled in. The heat was so intense it cracked the windshield by the passenger side. Dealer said he couldn't begin to tell what happened but service would look at it on Monday. This is a lease car going off June 1. Anyone else have a problem
similar to this and if so, what was it? This '02 S430 has 80M miles on it
and has had more problems than the last 8 MB's I've had. I'm expecting MB to pay something with luck, but am not holding out since the dealer knows I have new Audi A8L ordered from someone else. MB needs to address all these problems and soon. Instead of coming out with more models the same size as other models already available, they need to build the ones they have BETTER!!
