Need an Extended Warranty for our S600.

2024 S580 | 2024 Escalade ESV Sport Plat | 2022 X5M Competition

Need an Extended Warranty for our S600.

I have called a couple dealers for extended warranties for our 2001 S600, and one of them quoted $7500 for a bumper to bumper one for an additional 2 years 24K miles. That seems REALLY high to me.

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions on who to try calling?

Wow that's insane, I bought my extended warranty for my 2000 S500 for $2300. Someone's trying to get one over you.

I bought and extended warranty for my '01 CL600 from warrantydirect.com for around $3000.00.

How exactly does warrantydirect.com pay for warranty repairs? Do they pay the dealer directly, or reimburse you for the repairs?

MB S550 now; S63, CL600, S430 previously

Warrantydirect pays the dealer directly; however, I have yet to use it because my manufacturer's warranty hasn't expired.

Thanks, seems like they are a reputable company. I was quoted $3700, $0 deductible, for up to 75K miles. We currently have about 46K.

08 Lexus GS350 AWD. 08 Lexus RX350 AWD - wife's. 94 MBZ E320 - still have it.

Just received my April Consumer Reports. They list the "S" class in the "vehicles to stay away from" category, due to extremely poor reliability.

How sad it is, that such a beautiful and expensive car has such crappy quality. I wander what would it take for MBZ to wake up and start biulding reliable cars again.

As for rihgt now, I guess the extra warranty is a must, unless your last name is Gates (as in Bill Gates), and $90/hr labor charge, plus sometimes thousands for parts, is not an issue for you.
