Estimated pricing from C&D.
i just got the Car and Driver issue for this month and they had an article on the new S500(S550 here), and pricing.
CAR and DRIVER
in february the S500 goes on sale in the U.S. for an estimated base price in the high-80Ks and will be followed by a smaller-engined 335hp S450 version (about $78,000) and the 510-hp V-12 S600 for at least $137,000.

With that high price hopfully comes MUCH higher quality!!!??? Figure those are base prices, so after adding on some regularly common options the S450 will be costing around 85K min. and the S550 95K-100K easily!!!

2004 S500 & 2011 Mini JCW
Just looked at the current W220 pricing and seems the new pricing is lower than where the current S500. Which starts at 86,800! So I would think that C & D is 5% low. However MB may have more options that need to be added to the W221 to put it where the current W220 is without adding any options. I'm hoping the C & D pricing is spot on. The W221 needs to stay below 100k to be successful here in the states!
