I get real excited right away sometimes about a car; and sometimes it builds more slowly.... I am starting to get a little warm and tingly over the S65.
I;ve wanted a big, monster AMG MBZ sedan for about two years now. I had come to dismiss the S55, and the CL65. I was going to have an EV12 built and brought into the country...but that turned out to be more of a one off than I had originally believed.
This new S65 is starting to really turn my crank. It's like looking forward to that movie with Mary Sue Ellen on the upcoming Saturday night -- you know what I mean?

I am just dying to make my escape and see the new S in the flesh (or "in the metal" as the case may be). Photos do seem to show an 'edgier' look, and some more-than-slight fender-cladding (is Jakpro still OK? Has anyone heard from him lately? Man, I hope that he's still alive! He really has been taking this badly, you know...) so I am very interested in seeing a new S for real. I am sure that the AMG styling will either tone any inadequacies from that down, or play 'em up and make them into a more 'profound' or 'powerful' styling statement....
But I am one of those wierdos that has never been overly concerned with outward appearance anyway - to me function is more important than form; and I know the mechanicals and the functioning of this car as my "Big Bada$$ MBZ AMG Sedan" wil be sure to satisfy.... If it looks good too? Even Better!
