madolfsson- Thanks for the pics!

Nice color combo, indeed.

Is that the Laurel wood in silk/matte finish?

It is not glossy, so yeah I guess silk is a better description.

Congrats and nice car. Your Sirius antenna looks a lot better than the one I saw at a local dealership. It had a big fin sticking up. It looked pretty stupid.

BEAUTIFUL car! And great news about the BT module working with your non-approved phone. I have a Samsung i730 that I'm hoping will work equally well.

My order is in for my Blackblack S550-- has a build date of last "decade" in March, and sould be at the dealership by mid-May at the latest.

Every friggin' day I think about this car! This is Hell!!

I have an approved phone (Moto 557) and cradle in my S430 which I will keep and plug into my S550 (barring any disasters with the trade.) Andorite Grey on Grey/Dark Grey with build first decade in April with mid-May delivery. I will just place the order and forget about it until I get the call it is here...LOL

Nice Ferrari 550/575 in the garage too. My two favorite brands in the world!

Options and Upgrades to LE

Since this is my first foray into the luxury car market, I am chomping at the bit, in anticipation of driving my LE off the lot. I think the only upgrades I will make is obviously the IPOD Integration, either the Bluetooth or phone integration, tint out the rear windows and possibly the front (after enough people have seen me in it) and those Carlson rims. Tell me what you all think and what options or upgrades you will do to your LE.

Wow this thing is good looking. I just like every other Benz fan took a deep gasp when we first saw those wheel arches. Mercedes may have made a brilliant decision to go with this styling cue. People were always putting bigger wheels on the S-Class anyway so Mercedes decided to spice up the sheetmetal to make larger wheels look better intergrated. The wheel arches already fit the optional AMG package perfectly. Did Mercedes knowingly make a brilliant styling decision here?

I like the white one. I wonder it it had to be pulled out of a ditch or something because of the tow hook in the front bumper.

I think they use that for transport. I saw another one being loaded onto a factory flatbed and it had the rear hook exposed.

Massaging Seats

Anyone test out the massaging seats in the new S Class. I would like to get an idea of how it feels. I'm guessing the massage feature is not as good as one of those massage chairs. Can anyone please let me know if the massaging seats are worth it?

I don't know personally - hopefully someone on here will chime-in with their comments.

I do know that several reviewers whom I have read thought that it was a fantastic feature -- even if it does apparently have a timer function on it and so reportedly has to be engaged repeatedly (5 minutes or something like that)....

I have the massage seats in my SL55 and my wife's E55 and they are wonderful. The other option that you should not pass up are the drive dynamic seats. The E has them but unfortunately the SL does not.

The exterior is designo Graphite and the interior Sahara Beige. Unfortunately neither option is available on the MB Built-a-car website... I did find similar sounding colors on the German site. If anyone has some pics please post them.
you will definately be happy with this car. we got about 4 of them in the other day. what dealership did you purchase it from?

congradulations, good luck with it...

hopefully it wont give you any problems. the most problems about the S classes also happen with the R class.. and thats the tire pressure message. if it comes up, just keep driving it. if it goes away then comes up later, take it to a service center, you could have a nail or screw in it. that happened to my moms R.
