Wheels on an S550... help!

Wheels on an S550... help!
I'm looking at putting some nice wheels on the S550. I definitely would do 19" rims, but friends are talking me into 20" rims. I have a couple questions:
1) What is the largest wheel the S550 can take without any mods?
2) I want big rims, but I don't like tires that are so low profile that you can hardly see the rubber! Recommendations?
3) I know the S has a great ride, but how would 20" rims affect it? I know it'll be a little rougher... but how much? I don't want to lose the lux ride.
Recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can go with 22" but the ride will be terrible. I think the 20" are the way to go. I will get my S550 next month Blk/Cash AMG pkg. I'm going with a Brabus rear spoiler and 20" Radenergie wheels. I know the owner wants to make a deal on some 22's" in stock. He wants some pics for his web site. You could pic them up for $3,500 with some good negotiation skills. I'm waiting for the 20's" that will come in about 6 weeks.

No, I'd never want 22" wheels. 20" would be fine, but how will they affect the ride/handling?
