My paint code is C040 which is just black no flakes or pearl.. When I ordered my mirrors they came already painted but they sent me the wrong color black because it had some metallic flake into it which my be your color, so I had to have mirrors repainted to just black before I installed them. I don't think your paint shouldn be too hard to match.. Worst case scenario It may just look more glossy than the rest of the car because it's fresh paint, but you can just have the car buffed and waxed after all the work is done which is what I will be doing to mines today
I know...but a few of the places keep saying it needs to be blended etc but I think a good shop can paint and match extremely close with out doing any type of blending that they say they need to do. That's just $$$ for them.
Thank you! Not hard at all.. Just time consuming. The only tricky part for me was removing the old bumper but other then that everything else was smooth sailing

Basic black (base coat, clear coat) is an easy match as long as the existing paint is in good shape. Metallics add some complexity because of the "flop", where the flakes have one hue when viewed from one direction and a different hue from the opposite. It's subtle but if the shop misses it from certain angles the new paint will really stand out. It's most obvious on large flat panels like doors and fenders, not so much on bumpers.
Welcome to the club...plenty to do on the W221. Definitely do the tail lights...they make a huge difference in the rear end appearance. The list of mods goes on and on and on.
