thats exactly how my car looked the first 2 days i had it. i love the w221 s550 but at that time i didnt know all the different packages the car came with. i hated the wheels so that was my first thing i changed. Second day i had the car i went and got some 22's for it. i feel like the stock wheels didnt fit the car they were way to small. I would say go with 22's you will sacrifice some comfort. but you have to watch out for pot holes, etc.

Hey there...i have the same S550 but in white. I would suggest you stick to the 20" wheels. Do find a nice concaved design with sufficient width ie JJ on them. 22" seems to be a little over the top and yes...not pot hole friendly at all. Not forgetting the extra $$ needed to wrap them up with the corresponding rubbers. Go have a look at Airtekk's silver S550. That would ideally be my configuration. Oh...an AMG bodykit would be nice to have on your S550 as well

ive seen alot of s550 with 20s. unless the car is lowered the wheel to fender gap is huge. air teks silver benz is bad ***. he went has vossen vv3 20x10.5 all around. thats how he got the real concave look front to back. im not a fan of 20s on our cars so 22s are fine for me.

Agreed totally with your logic on the gap and not having to lower your suspensions. I have the same wheels on my car but I didn't go 10.5 all round. I would love to have 22"s on mind too but I'm just too afraid of potentially cracking the rims. Anyway post more pics of your car man!

ill admit my 22's with tiny rubber bands for tires has gave me alot of headaches. first set of wheels on my car only last around 3 weeks. these wheels i have now every single wheel is chipped or messed up some how. its just pot holes and roads here in houston. ive had my front right rim fixed twice now. im definately looking into new wheels for my car but not exactly sure what im going to go with yet. once weather clears up here in houston and i get my car washed ill snap a few more pics.

Can't wait to see the pics. Meanwhile here's mine. Do excuse the unsightly background. It was taken behind some alley. I am thinking of getting the front grille sprayed black together with the bottom part of the front bodykit. Similar to the Airtekk one. Alternatively, I could spray or wrap the car in silver exactly like the Airtekk one. Choices...choices. Honestly, I'm not too fond of the colour of my wheels as well

I now know why you don't wanna part with your 22"s. They look so nicely planted and we'll proportioned! Lovely car buddy! And I've always been a fan of silver. Gives you the sporty look yet remains classy. I might just spray my grille black and get my rims changed to silver. Somehow black rims don't seem to fit an S Class the way I feel it should.

also like the silver car with the vossen cv3s hes rolling 20s as well just different size up front. he pulled it off bad *** cause his car is slammed. i wouldnt go that low. but if you got some lowering links and lower it just a tad it might look even better. i still love the white s550 the most out of any color for our cars.

picked up some 22's for a steal. 3 piece wheels with brand new P zero's for a price of two rear tires for stock wheels. can't say no to that...
