This S550 is the second Benz I owned. Thought you might appreciate a pic of the first one I bought after graduating from HS in 1963, It was a 1953 220. I paid $35. for it. Yes thirty five bucks. A year later, while in the Air Force (stateside) I rebuilt the engine and had it painted. I only have the 'before" because the battery in my cell phone was dead. HA. I do have a pic of the engine and me during the rebuild. This was in my "room" in the barracks. Although the block was perfectly clean from being steamed, I caught hell from the first sergeant for having it in there. Ah to be a young hunk again.

Not a lot of people are going to like this as they tend to frown on rims and tires bigger than what the manufacture recommends. Along with altering the height of the car as well.

I know there are a lot of “purist’s” on this forum. But the cool thing about it, is we are all our own and we all have different tastes. And we all come together in the end. The car to me doesn’t seem to ride any different with the 22’s compared to the the 18’s or 19’s that were stock (can’t remember the original size), I’m not using rubber bands for tires. The stance was achieved with a Renntech lowering module, so I didn’t screw with the normal ride height when the car is in motion. I just have it programmed to drop when the key is off and in park.
