I test drove a A8L then a E55AMG then the New S550

I loved the New S550 I pushed it hard out of corners it felt great the ride was amazing blend of smooth and nimble! The new 5.5 engine is awsome I was very impressed with power delivery. If you test drive a S550 make sure you push it have some fun with it that is what sold me, I think I am going to order a S550 Sport in White with Black Premium Leather with all the toys pano roof and all.

I am not a huge fan of the gearshift or the dash layout but the orverall package is hard to beat for the price. My first choice was the Bentley Flying Spur but I just can not justify the $80,000 up charge for the Bentley at this time, I did not drive the Flying Spur yet, I know the interior is superior in the Spur But I can buy another SL55AMG used (sold my SL55 in november need to get another one I miss it already) for the difference.

The E55 is great but its a serious sports sedan weekend track car and with a newborn the smooth S550 that still turns and gets to 60 in 5.4 seconds is the clear choice it just felt so damn good being pushed but I loved driving my SL55 on the track so weight does not scare me moving the big s550 around was really cool not as a track car but as a very nimble big LUX Sedan I just loved it.

Ths Audi A8L was very nice too but the ride just was not as special as the S550 and the look of the Audi is a little plain but it is a great car and the interior on the A8L is very nice.

For the Money its going to be hard to beat the S550 it felt like a car I could just drive around for the hell of it all day and be very relaxed so its my choice and then I can get my SL55 back too!!

Another nice combo if I win the mega millions tonight would be the Flying Spur and a F430 spider better go get my tickets

Hey...you know what?....I've been driving our S500 all day today....thinking about that white S550!!!! I can't wait to see a white one as an AMG!!! That might put that new 44' Sea Ray on hold for a while I dunno...maybe I'm crazy

AMGBENZ - I thought I was sold on the new S550 w/Sport until I researched the Audi S8. Has the Lamborghini Gallardo engine, Bang/Olufsen stereo, and much more.

The S8 looks like its going to be Bad *** with the Lambo V10 so many cool sedans. Its making hard to pick one shows you compitition is heating up in the car world great for the customer

New S class (Its a Benz S Class no traditional gear shifter whats up with that)
Old S600 Twin Turbo used (Great Value but old news)
Audi S8 (Cool but no long wheelbase)
7 series (Popular)
New LS Lexus (Great Value)
Flying Spur (Big Bucks but super cool)
Rolls and Mybach are going to build entry level sedans soon to compete with the Flying Spur (Still Big Bucks not out yet)

Yea...I think I'm going to keep what I've got a while and look at getting back on the water. I watched "Into the Blue" on Direct TV Saturday night and it kind of reminded me of why I live here. Be sure and catch that movie...the scenery is great. Jessica Alba is one fine example of genetic engineering!!
