What are you doing while waiting for your S Class
I thought this would be a fun thread to start, since alot of us have not received there car and are eagerly anticipating driving the car off the lot. I thought this thread would be a great opportunity to see what everyone is doing to pass the time. I have recently downloaded the 2007 S 550 600 manual and began reading it yesterday. I plan to read this manual from cover to cover by 3/31/06 (delivery date of LE) and I am currently on page 96 command FM/AM Radio. Good Lookn out Madolfsson on posting the manual!

Enjoying the CLS!
I just got the “Ninth Generation S-Class” (aka w221) brochure in the mail, complimentary (without request on my part) from MBUSA. I like what I saw at the dealer, I like what I see and read in the brochure. Now I’ll just have to bide my time and when the CLS lease ends 10/08, get myself into a 09 S!

I drive my mothers new S550 that I bought for her while I wait for the S that I had ordered. Father is waiting for his S600. I want a S63 twin turbo. Though it may not happen.

Besides, my lead foot on the CLS isn't good for gas and it just invites woodbie local San Clemente teenagers and their Subaru's and other forms of rice rockets to race.
The Alabaster White S550 with Sport, P2, ABC, Wood Steering Wheel, and its Charcoal Premium Leather is divine. I do have to say that my mother finds this new S to be easier to use than my TL, E350, or our mini van. She loves it.
Also the bluetooth cradle and integration are damn near flawless and far better than what I have in the TL. COMAND works wonderfully and so does VCM. I have one gripe and that is I kind of miss the center gate style shifter but we all are getting used to not having it since our 7 is like this as well.
The car is to die for IMO and its eregonomics are easily the best I have seen. Though the seats are not quite as comfy as the 7's comfort seats, they are pretty darn close.

Sounds like Mercedes-Benz heaven! I'm surprised about the seats though. All the magazines raved over them, proves that people's butts are different...lol!

My mom uses the Motorola SLVR L7 from Cingular. Works flawlessly.
The bare minimum that is required is a Bluetooth phone that supports OBEX for file transfer (phonebook for COMAND) and a handsfree or headset profile to pair with the car.
