NevadaJack and his S550
Well after 2 weeks of negotiations and MB re-alignment of allocations to dealers I have a build date and a delivery date for a new S550 S Class.
The car will be built the 2nd decade in April (April 11) and will be delived in late May. The specs are as follows:
Andorite Grey
Grey/Dark Grey Premium Leather
P1A (SIRIUS and Ventilated Seats)
Distronic Plus with Park Assist
Wood Leather Steering Wheel
Drive Dynamic Multicontour Seats with Massage
Read Window Sun Shades
PanoRoof
18" 9 Spoke Alloy Wheels
I had to give up Keyless Go and the Trunk Closer due to the shortage of supply in April. I could have had the complete package had I waited for a June build date with late July delivery. I figured I could still turn a key and open a trunk so I opted for the April build.
The dealer is Glauser in Denver, CO. Really great people to deal with. Great response and the figures we settled on were better than I thought I could get for a 5 month old S Class and a 2007 S so heavily in demand.
Here are some pictures of the car. The first two are from the S Brochure and in Andorite Grey, the others are from another site. Whether the color is Andorite Grey in the photographs is not really known but it will be close, maybe lighter.

I can't wait for the properly done pics you'll take! It'll be the best documentary of the new S class online to date.
You know, the exterior styling of the new S has already won me over, and the build quality seems to be as good as ever... so we'll just have to see how reliable it proves... I'm sure you'll report on that as well for us!
I'll bet it's hard to go to bed now and have to wait those few weeks!
BTW.. you should take a road trip with it to Phoenix, and take Dan and I out for a night on the town.. I'll treat!
