Congratulations...great selection! For BT go to AWS http://www.wireless4mb.com/ and order the module or buy the MHI Cradle for one of the approved phones. You can buy the phones at any of the cell dealers stores. The iPod adapter is a few months away but it will integrate with COMAND and dock in the glove box.

Thanks Nevada Jack. Im new to the S class, having never owned one. I see there are a few S600 on the internet that will be available soon. What are your thoughts on the S600. I test drove the S550, and it is fast! Im not sure the 600 is worth another 40k (my designo is around 100k). What do you think?

I will be picking up my LE next week. Unless it's the Saks 5th avenue limited edition with that gorgeous interior. I wouldn't do it. But that's just me, i'm quite frugal. And the thought of servicing a V12 hurts my pockets.

I'm with ak on this one...I really don't know much about the S600 other than it looks beautiful and costs a lot more than my budget allows. A V12 is an okay so what feature with me...the 550 V8 will move that car as fast as I want. Everything is standard on the S600 but $40K just does not compute in my book.

having the LE for a little over month now, i can tell you, its a DREAM! Everytime I get a chance, I sit in it for like 30 minutes, just enjoying all the features. If only my parents let me drive it again

Trust me, Jan and Doc, you will NOT be dissapointed with this one.

Jack,
Great Selection!
I have the 17-85 and the 70-300. I have another 20D that I use at the office with a 100mm Macro and MR-14 ring flash for intraoral photography. (I'm a dentist, if you didn't figure that out!!!)
It's a great Camera. Did you see they have a 30D now! May have to upgrade!

Get that 10-22mm...great lens and for landscapes it is fantastic. The 30D didn't add enough to get me interested in upgrade...I am hoping Canon may add some of the software improvements through a firmware upgrade but I doubt it.

BTW..where are you located in NJ. I grew up there in Bloomfield and Essex County.

I can't wait to see more pics of the S.

L Glass...love it! That 70-200 is beautiful. What body do you use?

I really have not looked at the 85mm MkII...I have about what I need. They are EF-S (except for the 70-300mm) but they serve my purpose fine.

Hi Jack. If you have great EF-S lens collection I truely miss my 10-22, very wide on a 1.6x crop. I have a 20D and an older Kiss. How do you like the 60mm f/2.8? That is an very intresting focal length, bokeh must be beautiful on that.

You all got these fantastic cars and making me a bit jealous (but also proud) every time I see the pictures...
But with this off-topic, I can strike back! ;-)
You got the quality cars (Ok, in June it's time for a E280CDI for me - not soo bad either) but I got the quality lenses (maybe you cannot have both with these prices ;-):

Both together weight more than 1kg but the quality is...extraordinary... and will become even more obvious with all the new high-resolution digicams.
When you have the money (Hey, I'm in the W221-forum :-) and love photography and want to get highest quality with the small 35mm (or comparable digital) format there's nothing better than these little optical/mechanical masterpieces!

Thanks. The bokeh on the 60mm is very nice...soft and circular. Here is a url of one of my test shots. f/2.8 at 1600ISO. Some PS effects but you can see the bokeh pattern I think.

Next thread...NJ takes marijuana leaf pics on his brand new Gray nanopaint with his XJR9000 lens.

OK, just kidding.

I saw a black S550 at Phoenix Motor Company today. Unfortunately, I was rather unimpressed. The interior was nice, but I expected more. The exterior was okay, but I think the stock wheels were a drag on it. It didn't look good to me. I'm a bit underwhelmed by it...I don't understand why either. Maybe the paint and blasse wheel combo.

LOL...funny stuff PH...

I have only seen two interiors so far...the Black and the Grey/Dark Grey. The Black seemed to lessen the impact of the interior more than the Grey combination. No contrast and without the wood wheel it lost something. The Grey combination however seemed to bring the interior alive and show off the wood accents more.

I have gone back and forth on the wheels and ended up with the standard 9 spoke. The multi-contour wheels did not impress me and I thought about the chrome 5 spoke but they are not available. The AMG's look much better and the LE's are the best I think.
