I own a white MB myself and first I thought white wouldn't go very well on an S class. I guess I was wrong. I'm glad you had a successful deal with Glauser. It's my favorite dealer. Their building is state of the art, and I'd even stop by from time to time just to see what's going on check what they have on the display. The last time I stopped by, they had a tectite grey SLR ready to be delivered to a buyer from out of state. Anyway, congrats again jack !
Thanks 360...Glauser is a very nice place to do business. Friendly group from the Sales Mgr on down.

New houses can do that...:-)

Thanks on the congrats. I was out and about today giving the lookers a look. Didn't see any Black CLS's running around though.

Beautiful car you have there, Jack! I wouldn't change a thing. For $104,425, you got an exceptional car...and you should be proud!

Good luck (and good night).

So nice to look at, a complete 360 from those first press photos Jack. Any niggles, complaints, wierd observations about the S550 vs your previous S430?

No lowering and wheels for me...I am pretty much a stock guy. While picking mine up the sales rep showed me a Black on Black S550 with a Lorenzer kit being installed and 22" chrome wheels. Was for a Denver Nugget player. They were concerned about the 22" wheels because there was only 1/2" clearance from some bolt in the well. Quite frankly I would not have it if you gave it to me. The scoops are over the top. But to each his own.

As you say the "car is great" so I take that anytime...:-)
yeah man I hear you, I am not much of a scoop and strake person either. The w220 had the same issue with 22's but with the proper tires it was possible, MB are very conservative on fenderwell spacing.

Enjoy the car anyways.

No complaints from any quarter on the S550. It is perfect up to this point.

The difference between the S550 and S430 is significant. Luxury features and finish are at a much higher level. The Multi-contour Dynamic seats are unbelievable and add so much to the feel of the ride. Tracking at any speed is dead on straight. The COMAND operation is fantastic...I love it! The S430 was a beautiful riding car but the S550 just lets you know you are driving the ultimate. All these comments are subjective and not made just because I now own the S550...but because I am honestly so impressed with the whole driving experience.

The pick up in this car is amazing for how big it is. When I floor my LE I have to hold on with both hands!! And I'm really too cool for that.

I am not misleading anyone. It is not a S65, it is not falsely badged a S550 AMG. You can type "with AMG kit" if you like...I feel fine with S550 AMG.

Most non-MB people don't know the difference and those that do understand what the AMG means after the S550.

Thanks for the congrats...

You tell him JACK!!!

My uncle just picked up an identical S550 with same color combination... I want to take it for a spin but he headed straight for Vegas... Damn...
