Had nothing to do at the dealer today while the car was getting washed so I spent a good 10 minutes playing around inside a w221. I'm impressed with the fit and finish. Definately a notch up from the w220. The chrome trim and wood finishes were very elegant to look at and overall, the interior was nice and cozy, though, it didn't feel bigger than the w220. And with the AMG appearance package, its a really nice looking S-class.

I was surprised that they continued using the same center rearview mirror. lol

It seems good ole DMX is finally getting MBZ back up to par in its quality. Slowly but surely, eh? I also love the fit and finish in the CLS, which IMHO has one of the nicest MB interiors asides from the W221.

I didn't think the interior was a big step up, but certainly immersing as always. I always felt that the interior on the w220 was better than most, because of the convenience of operation coupled with the elegance.
