Well I finally got a call from my dealer today telling me my S550 is ready to ship from Europe. Appartently it is just waiting for a ship, and should ship sometime next week. I was able to get the VIN#, but he told me he could not give me a copy of the window sticker until it arrives in the US. Does this sound right?? I dont see why they could not fax a copy from Europe for me... blahhh

However, he did tell me from ship date to arrival on the lot, takes about 2 weeks. So hopefully within 3 weeks I should have my S550.

I sure hope I end up keeping this one... I've traded out 5 cars in 2 1/2 years trying to find something I really "Love." (maybe I am just getting more picky as I get older)

Hopefully I keep this one for a looonngg time.

I think window stickers are printed at port.

Interesting... I guess I just always assumed the manufacture printed them out during the end of production. What do I know!...

I guess in the "old days" when you got your Buick from Flint, Michigan, the sticker was printed here, at the US factory. The Mercedes window sticker is printed at one of several Vehicle Preparation Centers around the US (just north of Baltimore MD is the one for the northeast). At the VPC they finalize the option installations and sticker the car with the MBUSA pricing structure. Best of luck on your new S550.

P2... if I wanted the P3, they told me I'd have to wait until Jan/Feb of 2007. I don't need Night View Assist that bad!.

I've had to many grey/silver and black cars, SUVs... don't get me wrong, I think the Flint Grey S550 is a hot color, but I've personally am getting bored with the same colors over and over... So I'm going to try white this time.
