Dunlop Sport P1a

Hi Everyone again

Someone help me here........... These tires are classified as ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE SUMMER TIRES......... whereas the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 are classified as MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE SUMMER TIRE (ON TIRE RACK)

The Michelin overall is a much better performing tire, while the DUnlop happens to be the MOST expensive........

I have Dunlops on my car now. I had MIchelins on the S500.....

IS there really a difference ?

There is always a difference between two different makes of tire, and between two different models of tire....

I know nothing about or of the Dunlop; probably no one else does either - so no responses....

Does happen sometimes that no one has an opinion for you on the forums.....

Brad,

I had the Michelin Pilot Sport on my CL500 and never had any issues with them. Most of my driving was in Florida so no input on cold weather driving.
I never drag raced or subject the car to severe turning conditions so I can't give you insight under those conditions but in terms of "normal" driving they performed just fine.

I wouldn't waste my money on the more expensive tires unless there was a distinct performance and/or looks advantage.
