Interesting

So, check this out. An S600 missing a bunch of options and with an AMG package. Check out the window sticker.

I think that was a typo when he said "not" as the window sticker obviously shows all that stuff exist. Either way, those options come standard on the S600. The price is kind of high for a S600 with 1354 miles on if you ask me.

The listing on the window sticker is a credit...it is minus the $10K so the car is stripped. Just a S550 bare with the V12 engine and AMG package.

Strange listing...he would have to explain to me how this car came to the US and why no standard S600 options, which should be fully loaded.

The options are normally standard on the S600 but it seems that they received a credit from MB while adding on the sport pkg which I am surprised as it isn't listed as an available option on the MB web site.
This essentially is a stripped down S600 but with the sport package.
The asking price is indeed high for that many miles.

I'm just impressed they got the AMG package on a S600 since it is not a BTO option on the web site. I have lamented the fact that going the S600 route denied you that choice. I guess not!

That is a strange car...I would love to know the history of it and the fact is has over a 1000 miles but has never been registered and sold as new. CarFax has two entries on that VIN# so if anyone has an account they could check out the details.

Obviously, you can get the AMG package on an S600. Glauser has a black one.

Dealer demo? Wouldn't you want a fresh one for that much cash?

To thicken the plot even further, though, the Glauser AMG has the front brake vents, like the S65. The S550 321 AMG package and the car at Contemporary Motorcars don't. AND the Glauser model has all of the standard S600 knick-knacks, by the look of things. So clearly, you don't have to offload the equipment to get the AMG Sport.

Very strange vehicle. I called the dealership up and talked to one of their people, who did confirm for me that the S600 can be ordered with the Sport Package. However, they were completely at a loss as to why to this vehicle had the equipment offloaded; said that they had never seen such a thing before in more than a decade working there. But I'm not sure how much they knew about this particular car, so I'm still not sure of the history. Somebody else with more credibility give them a call and ask, and report back, eh? It's sitting on their showroom floor -- apparently everyone on eBay was confused by it too.

Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Aston Martin, Chevrolet
It is plausible that if one were to not ever need those options then I would agree that the most sutable course of action would be to take them off the car for a lower price, not a bad idea.

From the looks of things, the S550 Sport package comes with an S63 look-alike body kit, whereas the S600 Sport should have the S65 look-alike body kit.....

The S550 Sport Package bodykit isnt the same as the S65....the S550 amg kit is exactly like the one in the picture of the S600...

First Pic is NevadaJack's S550 AMG and the Second is the S65 AMG

I think AsianML's point was exactly that: they look different, with the S550 AMG Sport resembling the S63 AMG (with no brake vents) and the S600 AMG Sport resembling the S65 (with brake vents). [I'm not sure if this is correct or not, since the S63 AMG has yet to be shown.] Even there, unfortunately, it breaks down, because one S600 AMG Sport (Glauser) has the brake vents, and the other (Contemporary Motorcars, i.e. the decontented weird-machine) does not have those vents.

The Glauser and the CM S600s have totally different sport body kits. There were spy shots of the S63 a while ago with the body kit looking like that of the S550 AMG package.

The S600 from Glauser looks like the S65, and the CM S600 looks like the S63/S550 sport.

Someone needs to call Germany on this one...lol! I wouldn't want a stripped S600 just to get the sport package. On a S600 most buyers would want it all, sport and the options I would think. I bet this car is going to be unsellable.
