US S600 equipment/options?

Two questions about the '07 S600:

#1) Does the S600 have a heated steering wheel, or not? The S550 can be optioned with it for $450, the mbusa.com site says nothing about it in standard equipment for the S600, and the S65 can have it added for $350.

#2) MBUSA.com says that the only option for the S600 is the Euro-style 22-spoke wheels, but what about the AMG Sport Package? I thought that I've seen S600s with that. If so, what does the package include on the S600, and how much does it cost?

Just curious. Thanks from a first-time poster!

The S600 comes standard with the Wood/Leather Steering Wheels which means you can't get the heated steering wheel as an option.

I noticed Glauser has a black S600 with the AMG Body Kit and Rims. It doesnt appear to be an option on Build Your Own so perhaps they swapped it off another car?

Hope that helps

I thought that too, but then I saw a pic from Glauser that appeared to show a wheel-heater icon on the control stalk of one of their S600s, so now I'm confused.

Actually, yes, the wheel is heated on the S600 and is standard. But, only the leather parts heat up not the wood portion.

Hi, we have about 6K miles on it now. We've had a couple problems with the car. First, the check engine light was on at delivery cause the car ran out of gas. They assured us the light would go away after we drove it a bit, but it didn't. So, we had to take it in to reset that. Second, after about a couple thousand miles, we had a the ESP, distronic plus, etc... all say they are inactive. It turns out it was a faulty steering angle sensor or something. They replaced it and everything has been great since then. =) Overall, I would say they were pretty small problems and they were both fixed right away.

The factory is not offering the AMG sport package for the S600. There is one on eBay somewhere that is a strange car missing most of the S600 standard equipment but it does have the 321 Sport Package.

We did take a "stock" S600 and we added the AMG body kit and wheels and used a S65 F1 style bumper. We bought the parts from MB and had them painted and installed in Denver at more than double the price of the $5600 321 code of the S550.
