S550 Pinstriping?

IMO, such a detail does not belong on a S-Class or any European luxury car. Pinstriping is a old Cadillac or Lincoln thing that should have died long ago.

I'd love to see one with pin striping. Please post pictures if you still decide to go ahead doing it.

Seems that it's pretty unanimous how most feel on this board about pinstripes on any MB's even more so on an S550.

heres what it would look like, but this is on a 20 year old car so you can imagine it would look terrible on a s550
and just for fun, this is what came up for googling "mercedes pinstripe" so you have to get a hint that this is not the way to go!

AS others have said: DON"T DO IT...How would the hand painting artist go about it? Get their paint to bond to MB Clearcoat? OR remove paint down to primer and hand paint over? What a mess. For what?

If you really must use clear coat. Then color sand it with 2000 grit so it blends in with the surrounding surface.

not that i would pin stripe a S class..... but all you have to do is clean surface with prep-sol to remove the wax then HOK(House Of Color) will lay down...
