Yeah, that was very fine looking car. BTW, i think that CL looks smaller in person then on pictures, i expected it to be huge, like w140 coupe was, but it wasn't.
I also liked a black GL500 a lot. You will be surprised, but in fact, i (and my wife too!) was more interested in GL then in CL. That car looks much better in person then on photos...

awesome cars...is it just me that thinks 4MATIC is something more fitting on a washing machine? they should have come with a cooler name, maybe in german. allveelschdrivenz saunds fantastick to me

i wish they would have given the S550 the "smooth" lines they gave the CL. And i agree with 4matic sounding like a kitchen appliance....just never put it into words so well.

So the CL has been seen at a public auto show before Paris! Looks good. In one of those pics the S5xx 4Matic looks to be raised. The CL is gorgeous. The reason why it looks better than the S is because there is no rear door for the wheel arches to contend with on the CL, just smooth sheetmetal.

Im not sure i agree with that......the front bumper and headlights and rear bumper are also alot smoother and dont have much to do with the door.

I think there was something wrong with that S. As you can see, only front part of car was raised, back of the car is normal. When i asked a mercedes guy about it, he started "car can raise itself" etc., i said i know it, but why is raised only in front? He was clueless..

cl still looks solara to me.

wish it had "sharper" lines.

at the least the GL looks good and got #1 in the new car and driver test

I agree with you about GL. I didn't even expect that car would look that good. I liked everything in it, exterior and interior. I think black is its best color.

Could be. I've see all types of suspension abnormalities at auto shows. Once long ago at the Chicago auto show the MB folks loaded all the brochures and sale literature into the trunk and back seats of a 300E and it was squating to the point of touching the floor while the front end was sky-high.

Front of the CL looks nice. Rear look too much of Solara or Acura CL.

whats so new about the GL? its been out for a month or two already
