Beautiful car. I do have a question though, does it have the AMG kit? It looks like it to me, especially the wheels. One other thing, I noticed that in one photo you had the standard 600 wheels. Did you change wheels after you got the car? Thanks.

Oh, never mind. I see what you did. (At least I think so.) It looks like you have the standard wheels with winter tires on them and the AMG wheels with summer tires. Right?

Your car is absolutely heart-breakingly beautiful. Ultimate class and underrated thrust at any engine speed.
I have a question for everyone here and do not want to start a new thread just for it, though...
Is there a significant engine/exhaust noise difference between the S65 and S600? From the interior, from what i've "heard" on youtube, both seem to be hushed and cream-like smooth. But from the exterior, seems to me like the S65 has an exquisite burble at idle, and has a throaty growl under hard acceleration, somewhat X55 AMG like.
In comparison to the 65 engine/exhaust sound, how is the 600?

I think the US models are missing hardware to play TV, becuase you need a TV tuner. DVD video should just be a software mod though because US S-Classes already come with DVD changers.

I was under the impression that U.S. based W221s have the option of digital TV tuner which is capable of playing Digital Video Broadcast if ordered initially when placing the order for the car, is it?

The TV tuner is a separate unit in Euro cars, probably would sit in the MOST ring of US cars, don't know if it would work all the way, the tuner output should not be too different from a rear view camera output. But a DVD drive or changer does not mean DVD video playback capability, you would need the MPEGx decoding HW too.

Darn!
I made an inquiry a while back about putting tv tuner in the car, eventhough it would just be a novelty ( wouldnt actually allow myself to be distracted by watching tv while i drive ) ,,, but its just to darn expensive.

The new W204 C-Class plays DVD movies on the screen and it continues to play the audio when you drive, but it turns off the screen. I'm sure this will be put in the other models little by little as they upgrade the COMAND system. It probably won't be long either until someone posts on here how to get to a secret menu that disables the video cut off.

My 2006 CL would play the audio portion of a DVD. Everytime I try this on my 2007 S, it just says "unknown audio format" and won't play at all.
What's wrong???
I made sure that I selected DVD Audio on the screen, I loaded the disc in slot #6 of the CD/DVD carousel area. Am I doing anything wrong up to this point?? Is DVD Audio referring to listening to a movie (for example Spiderman)
