2008 Mazda Tribute , 2007 S550.
S550 On Order!
For one year I have been following MBWorld's W221 threads regarding the
S550.... and I finally bought one!
Build date, November with probable delivery in December 2006. (Pewter exterior with Premium leather in black; Distronic-Plus package with Park-Assist; "S" Class Premium package; Drive-Dynamic front seats; rear view camera; ABC suspension; Night View assist; tire pressure monitoring system.)
I am grateful to the contributors of the W221 Forum for providing constructive questions and comments about the S550's.
It helped me to nail down an excellent choice to replace my S430.
Pictures and own evaluation to follow in due time, with the hope of being able to help others as was done for me.
And, Oh yes, Nevada Jack; time flies, except when waiting for a new car! A special thank you to you Sir.

Jack, Thank you for the congratulations. No the W221 is also known here, and labeled as a S550 in Canada. Same Operator Manual as well as far as I know. I believe the S500 applies to Europe. Why I don't know. To me anyway, the designation S550 for a 5.461 liter engine is closer than S500.
