To answer your question about the keyless go, what we do is take out the start button, put the key in. Then I believe you can put the car into neutral via the gear shifter stalk. I have not heard of the car automatically engaging Park when opening the door. Is that a feature?
Thank you for the pointers regarding the automatic car wash. The subject of the Park engaging when opening the door can be found in the S600/S550 Operating Manual on page 370. To quote "Keyless-Go*: If you turn off the engine using the Keyless-Go start/stop button and open the driver's door, the automatic transmission will shift to park position P automatically. ...etc."
That is the line that threw me. However your explanation (and Kelvine 310's)set me straight on this one.

I keep my key in that secret compartment while I am driving. I really like the push to start thing but where to put the key?

Hope that helps.
Thanks, will read those threads as well.

The W140 has them in the doors too, the armrests fold over right? Like chuckey was saying my friend suggests it would be the perfect place for a handgun if it was legal to carry here. It's kinda funny in the W140 though as the doors are big and heavy everyone always graps these things but there are not any buttons to press or anything so the thing comes open and alot of the time they lose their grip on the door, as they are getting a bit old and I have not bothered to grease them they creak sometimes people think they broke the door. It's funny to watch what people do some people just look at me other try to ignore it and just shut the door.

Kind of wish they stayed with the credit card style KG key thingy. Too bad they broke too easily if they were in the pack pocket with the wallet.
