brake dust
guy's does anyone have a solution for the always present and aggravating problem of brake dust, i mean one drive and there is a fine film of dust on thewheels after 3 or 4 drives they are covered, and that is some nasty shick to wipe off, how do u guys handle it.??

I have owned MB's since 1982 and have never found a solution other than just cleaning them very well each time. It will come off easily if you stay on them. In the 80's I used a shield sold through the dealer that would keep most of it away. The wheels did not have very large openings at that time and they were not readily visible. In more recent times, the wheel show a lot of rotor and caliper and I think that they would look terrible to put it mildly. Not to mention the lack of cooling that the rotors would experience.

I would replace the brake pads with a ceramic pad, I did this on my Crossfire(SLK) and the dust almost nevers shows up between washies. I used Rotex Pads from "Brake World". I'm sure others will have varying views on the subject, and I've tried most cleaners and replacing the pads was the only thing that works long time.
