Looking for a new GSM phone for my S600

Folks, my term is up with Sprint. I am going to move over to a GSM carrier. Looks like Cingular. I plan to purchase a unlocked GSM phone from the internet. “Tigerdirect.com”.

The question: What phones are certified to work with the new SClass? I have the Bluetooth adapter installed.

Currently have a Blackberry.

I like the Sony Ericson and Motorola’s. But open to others. Need your thoughts.. Love to hear from our buddies in Europe or Asia.. Please post photos or links.

Help me! American Cell phone Industry is about 5 years behind you guys.

When switching carriers you can transport your phone # and as a new subscriber Singular will give you a good price on a new phone with a one or two year contract.
I switched to T-Mobile and got RAZORS for $75 with a one year contract,90 days later I contacted them and got unlock codes for both. My one year was up and a few weeks ago I got V195s, (ruggedness) for $19.95 each with a two year extension, as part of their upgrade program. I can switch the SIMM between them, get a foreign SIMM, etc Mobal will sell you a lifetime SIMM, you just have to use it every 18 months or so, for $10 with no monthly except useage charges.

Do you want to get a PDA type phone (like the Blackberry), or a simple candy bar phone (like a Nokia)? Obviously you need a phone with Bluetooth to be detected by your car, but any other requirements?

I'd go with some quadband Nokia, generally in Europe people prefer Nokia.
They launched some nice new models lately, you can find them on their site...
And í've heard that Nokia has best reception, which might be usefull since GSM coverage is so-so in America. Keep in mind though, there are regular mobiles, and there are so called "smart phones' with OS Symbian installed.
If you don't need to add extra programs, i'd go with regular phone. There is also some blackberry type Nokia E61, you can find its picture and charachteristics on their site.

I personally like E65

it's slim, feels great in your hand and your pocket, and has Wi-Fi in it
