S600 Pics! Tell Me What You Think!
#51
I really have to say that I dont like the STRUT grill at all, and regarding the LORINSER, I like only the back and the fender on the front wheel, the front is not my taste at all.
I thinkk still the AMG package is still the nicest!
But its only my opinion.
Enjoy it!

Romeog,
No disrespect to you, but peoples perceptionof that vehicle hasn't been good. I think the compination is wrong, if you would of kept the wheels, jetisoned the Lorinzer kit and the Strut grill, added a suspension lowering module... the results would be better.
I do a lot of customizing, my thing is keeping the status quo, ata status quo. vehicle and person. Why ruin the reputation of the person with a ghetto out ride, or ruin the quality/class of the vehicle with a ghetto person? I spend more time trying to point the younger athletes in the right direction...you are out of the hood now... you can afford this and do this and this... but not this and that. Go get a box chevy to ghetto out not a Benz.
Seriously what is the point? do you ever rationalize with their thinking? Or just want the money? I rather ship them than screw with my reputation. Screw money I was born without, and have an ex wife that ensures i am without it...

hahaha rome....when you put pictures up of your car you need to expect some criticism and just take it like a man. If you like it than whatever anyone says shouldn't get to you.
but forreal man...that grill has GOT to go.

Silver CLS550, Blk M45, Lexus GX470 & an endless fleet of Avis Premium Rental Cars
When ever you add Strut and/or Lorinser on the same car; its gonna be a disaster.
Rims B+
Lorinser D-
Strut accessories C-
Hood emblem F
Lowering Job looks clean
Overall, not a good look
You mentioned Cali has a different style, and you are corrrect, so I'm sure the car will sell if you are in the market to sell it. I bet some rookie NFL player from Win Dixie Alabama will be calling you up to buy it before the NFL season starts.
The symbolic 22's and the AMG body would have set it off!

Imaginary S550
I like the style of the grill but the embellishments on it are a bit much. If you could find a way to take those other metal pieces off the grill so that only the "S" sheild remains then it would look a lot better.
Also blacking out the lower grill would do well also. Even if you dont make those changes I think the car looks alright.
The thing is with most euro enthusiasts they are extremely hardcore about subtlety and they think almost anything outside the car beyond stock (with the exception of the OEM's performance arm's stuff) is "ugly" or "ghetto"
I commend you for going against the "acceptable" and doing what you want.

I personally like customizations, but I think it's too much on this Mercedes. I personally have an S600 that I upgraded the rims, and put the AMG badging, but more than that starts to look gaudy. I have learned this from personal experience...
When you start with a higher end car like a newer Mercedes, you not only get a refined piece of machinery, but it also comes with a higher level of class. When you start tricking it out, it takes a lot of that away. You have to be very careful on what you change to make sure you retain the class factor. Sometimes it can look better, but it's much more challenging then say a honda civic.
Just my 2 cents....

i thought the mr. T starting kit went out w/ the 80's and 90's? apparently, there's a delayed reaction from some of the audience. seriously, been there and done that...it's like seeing 44 DDD size *****...besides the initial shock and surprise, there's no functional advantage and it gets old very fast.
