Automatic Transmission Program
Kind of new here. Which of the programs (C or S) do most peole use for everyday driving? I understand from the manual that the S mode not only affects the shifting of the automatic transmission but also impacts the ride of the car. Wondered which program most people use?

yes, the C/S mode affects both the tranny and the suspension settings (either Airmatic or ABC).
Personally, I really, really wish you could adjust the tranny and suspension seperately like you could on the W220.
I find I use the "C" mode on side streets and anytime I'm going from traffic light to traffic light or in traffic. I prefer the smoothness of starting in 2nd gear.
However, once I'm on the highway or at speed, I definitely prefer the S mode for the body control. There is a *slight* float in C mode. And in S mode the car is so tossable that it's hard to resist the fun and the confidence on twisties and off-ramps.
(This is on a car with ABC, by the way.)
If I could set each independently, then it would be "C" for the tranny and "S" for the suspension and I'd leave it like that all the time. That would be awesome.
