Please note that there is a lot of discussion on the actual value of these brushes, some camera owners say that a regualr sythetic paint brush will do just as well.

Well, it's basically just a paint brush with "special" fibers that aren't suppose to scatch or damage anything.

Actually, many new cameras will have dust right out of the box, to check, all you need to do is take a picture of a solid color, (eg. the sky) with the aperture at the smallest setting. you will probably notice small dark blots on your image, which are dust.

that camera takes such good photos, you need to detail the car before you take shots of it. Swiffer FTW!
I think I am getting a Cannon this summer, those rebels are pretty nice.

Chucky...the 400 Canon you have has a sensor cleaner built in if I remember the specs. My advice DO NOT use any brushes to clean the sensor manually. On my 20D I set the menu to Clean Sensor which locks up the mirror and use a Glotto hand blower to dislodge any dust. If you still can see the dust on your images...send it to Canon to have it cleaned.
Cleaning sersors is not for amateurs...:-)
