'07 S550 w/ AMG Package
Question Starts in drive?
In the S550, using Keyless Go, it won't let you start the car in gear. If its put in gear using the key instead of the button, will it still make you put it into P or N before it let's you start it? Thanks in advance.

No it won't since your starter motor would make your car move forward. Its a safety feature in all cars with automatics.

The car MUST be in P before the starter will engage.

It also starts from neutral (from the manual):
You can also start the engine with the automatic
transmission set to N.

The key anyway is that the car would not start on gear.
