Black or Silver?
I think Chucky300 summed it up. You really get a different look based on the model. The silver and white look great on the AMG Sports Package because shadows accentuate the boldness of the flared fenders and other body work, and also accentuate the black air dams. The black also looks great and is always stately, but you miss some of the boldness because you lose the shadows from the detail of the body work. In my opinion, the black looks best on the non AMG version as Chucky300 said. This S-Class is sporty, stately and elegant so any color works. I never warmed up the the 2000 - 2006 S-Class model and did not like it in any color. I think if you look at the pre-2000 S-Class, it was pure stateliness and in my opinion, the black always looked the most elegant and expensive. But hey, that's only my opinion. That's why they make so many colors!

My dad has the S550 in Silver and whats nice about that is those annoying little dingers you get from people that are parked around the car dont show up as much as they do on a black car..
On that note..I am getting the ML320 in Black..I much prefer the black with the silver trim look (My other two cars were dark..one black and one charcoal gray)..
Go to the dealership..look at one in Silver and look at one in black..once you see them..you will know which one fits you better..

If I were you and I was in Indonesia I'd get a white S class. That way my car will stands out among the rests
So how's the traffic in Jakarta these days? Still chaotic I assume?

There's about Rp .6bio difference between the two which equates to roughly $65,359 and some change (assuming $1 = Rp9180). Assuming the lack of: vacuum assisted doors, panoramic roof, park assist, rear electric sun screen, rear passanger sun screens, smaller displacement, and perhaps others, if I were in Indonesia I'd take the S300L instead
Did your dad purchase his from a grey market or from an authorized Benz dealer? I heard ADS is one of the best grey market dealers in Jakarta?
