Garage door remote

Has anyone got any tips on how to program a revolving code garage door opener onto our car's system? I give up.

Revolving Code Garage Door Opener

Go to the garage door opener you want to program, locate at the rear of the opener a button typically red or blue. It may be labeled "program", push the button and an LED may/maynot illuminate. Within 30 seconds follow your regular programing instructions.
Good Luck

Thanks, I'll look into that later today and then report back. Hopefully that button is there.

I typically program the remote to the button first (even though it supposedly doesnt do anything), then I go and push the button on the back of the opener, then run back to the car and press the cooresponding button...it has worked every time but once, but the homelink system was messed up on the one it did not work on...good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

Rolling code openers have a learn button, yes it may require a ladder to push button on the opener it's self.
Careful some time the "program button" sets the up/down limit.
Best to read all the printed material of both the controller and opener to save grief. Good luck!
I Just installed a Liftmaster direct drive jack shaft, I love it, so quiet.

it's easy...

Park in front of the garage door you want to program.
Turn on the car's power, (doesn't have to be running)
then hold your hand held under the mirror and press the hand held button and hold it down.
At the same time, pick one of the mirror buttons (one of 3 for garage doors) and hold it down as well.
the little green light on the mirror will flash slowly , and keep holding buttons down. then it flases fast and you're done.

This does not work for openers with rolling codes. Park in front of garage key on and press the learn button on the opener unit itself usually a red or orange button then go to car and press and hold the desired button until the light flashes rapidly. You have about 20 seconds to do this before learn light goes out.
