here is another take on it, the local dealership does these upgrades and stands by the warranty of the vehicle completely, using renntech and brabus. Also I want to include techart for their Porsche franchise.
recently a guy did the upgrade himself, ECU tune, and it was causing issues with the vehicle. it was found by the regional tech who was called out (porsche) needless to say the customer was handed a very large bill as the replaced the ECU and the car worked no problems.
just a horror story I seen and witnessed first hand.
also, another that I seen first hand a few times, aftermarket exhaust, trade in vehicle after a few years, MB can not CPO it and they don't want it, or give the person $$ less than all the parts and labor to return it back to factory
I used to think that it was screwed up, but it is a business, and trying to sell an aftermarket modified vehicle to the minority vs the majority is not as easy.
the North Olmsted MB dealer has pretty much done everything to all the AMG vehicles, but will let you know ahead of time about the CPO.

I am going to send in my ECU here in a few weeks. I will do a report before & afterwards with G-Tech Pro performance documentation. It should be fun. Watch for it soon.

I own a large high line import auto service center, we are a RENNtech reseller so we will be doing the conversion ourselves (most likely on a few S550's).
I will document it so the test can be used as real world data. Should have the conversion plugged in before the snow flies.
