Look in the glove compartment - there'll be a black cable sticking out with an adapter to plug into your iPod

Actually it's all of our problem - this forum is for CONSTRUCTIVE comment and help for the members - clearly YOU should rethink if you should continue your membership - I would ask that the moderators discuss this.

Putting all that aside. The ipod for this car sucks.
If you just connect it and let it run on its own that maybe its not bad. But if you plan to scroll through songs it is painfully slow and not intuitive at all. The driver must control only through the steering wheel controls. Maybe if the ipod itself wasn't locked on connection, than it wouldn't be too bad.

They need to look at BMW and how they do it. You never even have to touch the thing. Just say the song you want and it plays. And why Mercedes is at it why not take a clue from BMW on their phone integration as well

So anyway, even if you don't have it, your not missing much.

I agree. It's ok if you just let it run. But trying to find songs or artists is counterintuitive with the controls.

Why are you then using the iPod interface when you can put a 32GB memory card into the PCMCIA slot and browsing through songs, CDs or artists would be very quick through COMAND. No need to plug the iPod every time entering the car either.

How many songs fit on 32GB? Also, why is there a 32 GB limitation? One would think that if there is a slot, why can't you insert a 64 or 128GB card?

Don't know the specific answer to # of songs - but the slot is PCMCIA (yea old technology - but works nonetheless). You need the PCMCIA - Adapter to plug in an SD card. The limit is the SD card itself.
