Bluetooth question for S550

Hi. My parents have a 07 S550 and my mom just got a new cell phone. She originally paired her phone with the car by taking it to the dealership because she doesn't know the first thing about technology.

She doesn't have the owner's manual and I wanted to see if there is a way for me to pair it myself so she doesn't have to take it to the dealership. Thanks.

You can. When it asks for the code, I think the code is MBUSA (62872). I may be wrong.

Yup that's the standard MB code - when pairing you need to enter in on "both ends".

Are you referring to pairing with Comand or the BT phone adapter?

The BT device user guide should be available from AWS. You would have to initialise it to be ready for pairing first, usually by pressing a button (like the MB star) on the BT device for a few seconds when the led starts blinking.

I set the blue tooth up for a client on his C350, I just did 1234 on the car and told him to do 1234 on his phone and it worked, I think as long as you use the same code, what ever it is, on both the car and the phone.. it will work.

While giving that advice, you should take into account that the W204 is different from the W221.

Plus with the new Commands on the 08 C class and 09 models, you just have to have the same code for both devices but has to be a 4 digit code. (2345) (1111) whatever..
