When you said you could get anything on an S550, I was somewhat doubtful. The brakes that you are describing are the standard S550 brakes. The brakes on a non performance package AMG car are as follow: Brakes AMG-enhanced 4-wheel disc brakes. 15.4" compound, perforated, and ventilated front discs with AMG dual sliding calipers. 14.4" perforated and ventilated rear discs with AMG dual sliding calipers. These are the normal S63 brakes with the 6 piston calipers. I think the 030 brakes are even larger. I don't think you got the 030 package on your S class and it looks like you are confusing the AMG appearance package with the 030 performance package found on the AMG cars.

Well I guess I was talking about just the premium 3 package that includes rear view monitor, parktronics, ventilated seats, drive dynamic multicontour front seats with massage, night view assist, electronic trunk, keyless, 19 inch AMG wheels...etc.
With the 030 package regarding the break calipers...I wasn't sure about that...

Haven't driven the 997TT
However the GT3 is one quick cat ( not as quick as TT tho), its very light and will pick up very quick, the quick turns are very responsive and smooth (as long you don't overdo it with the gas or else tailspin). The clutch is somewhat stiff so you have to be perfect going from 1st to 2nd gear. The best thing is the exhaust note, music to my ears, nice low tone and growls at higher RPMs. This car is track ready any day of the week

Hope you like it...I think it's a great addition, because it isn't too large, and doesn't take away from the classic look of the car, but gives it a little bit of a sportier look..which works well with the AMG package.

so do u think the GT3 is do-able as a daily driver & commuter?? where i live, the roads SUCK A$$ and my back wont be holding up in a unforgiving car.

Does the AMG package add any performance enhancements?
(like a sport button or paddle shifters, for example?) Also, does the exhaust sound any different than an S550 without the AMG package? Congrats on your beautiful car, btw.

It'll do fine for a daily driver, as long you're not gonna be in bumper to bumper traffic...it only comes in 6 speed

The amg package comes with the amg body style, 19 inch amg wheels and visible tailpipes. My car does come with sport mode and button shifter. No change in sounds from exhaust imo
