How to brighten up dash when driving into sun

On a trip from Montreal to Toronto (westbound) in the afternoon it was almost impossible to see the dashboard/speedo etc. Even with the knob turned to full it's really not bright enough to see. Anyone else noticed this??

I can't say that I have. If it (the sun) were blaring straight into my eyes, I would have to say just about everything would be blinded from sight but not a problem that I've noticed.

Haven't had such issues

Was your PanoRoof shade closed? Do you have a light-colored interior (thinking of distracting reflections/glare of light-colored dash off windshield)?

I've noticed it on the comand screen - I think what WSH is alluding to is correct - the Pano Roof Shade - The roof lets lots of light in from what I can tell.
